Liepāja

from Love and Lacerations by The Hostiles

/

lyrics

Postcards and photographs. Memories of time that’s past that cast away the feeling of being lost at sea. Life had completely changed when I washed up at Fontaine
The wind that led us there to someone new who cared. With a long kiss, old memories did fade. Our lips met again and new fond ones took their place. We went out for a walk with Oli. I held your hand, you took the lead and proceeded to tell me that it had been awhile since you got flowers…which shocked me. I want to do those things. Of all the towns I’ve played and cities that I’ve seen, meeting you made Liepāja the best place that I’ve been.
I cannot forget. I will not forget that night we met. Then with one last kiss filled with passion and desire… an outbound course headed out of Liepāja. That night we met was bliss. Another kiss to reminisce?
